The holidays arrive quietly at first — through scent, through memory, through small acts of care. For us at Kait Macleod, warmth has never been just about sweaters or silk. It has always been about people.
This season, that belief came to life through the Bake Sale Batch — a limited-time charitable collaboration that blended fashion, local Los Angeles bakeries, and giving back into one intentional offering. What began as a collection inspired by texture and comfort became something bigger: a way to turn holiday indulgence into direct support for families and women in need.

From Baked Goods to Beautiful Impact
For a limited time, the Bake Sale Batch included a special run of baked goods, created in collaboration with some of our favorite local Los Angeles bakeries — businesses rooted in heart, craftsmanship, and community.
We partnered with:
- Cookie Good LA for a signature Good Apple cookie collaboration
- Generous Cookie Co. and other small-batch bakeries who share our belief in purpose-driven creation
Every cookie sold carried meaning beyond the box. All proceeds from the baked goods were donated directly to charity.

This portion of the Bake Sale Batch was intentionally limited-time only — a fleeting moment of sweetness designed to feel special, communal, and urgent in the best way.
Why We Chose Baby2Baby & She Is Hope Los Angeles
The proceeds were donated to two organizations doing deeply impactful work:
- Baby2Baby — providing children living in poverty with diapers, clothing, and basic necessities
- She Is Hope Los Angeles — supporting women through empowerment, resources, and recovery
These causes reflect what we believe true warmth means:
- Safety
- Dignity
- Support
- And opportunity
Giving during the holidays shouldn’t be symbolic. It should be tangible.
The Clothing That Carried the Story Forward
While the baked goods were available for a limited time, the Bake Sale Batch clothing collection remains available — designed to continue carrying the spirit of giving, texture, and care forward.
Each piece was created as a physical expression of warmth:
- Silk designed to feel celebratory yet enduring
- Denim cut to feel confident and lived-in
- Hand-knit textures that embody comfort
- Subtle shimmer that reflects holiday light without fleeting trend
These garments weren’t created as seasonal novelties. They were designed as forever pieces — made with the same intention that powered the bake sale: to last, to matter, and to feel personal.

Why Community Collaboration Matters to Us
Working with local bakeries wasn’t just about cookies. It was about ecosystem over isolation — a reminder that small brands grow stronger when they grow together.
Each collaborator brought:
- Their craftsmanship
- Their community
- Their generosity
And together, those small contributions created real-world impact.
This is the heart of slow fashion as we define it:
Not just slowing production — but deepening connection.
Limited Time Treats, Lasting Meaning
The Bake Sale Batch baked goods are now part of our history — a moment that existed briefly, intentionally, and with purpose. But the meaning behind them lingers.
And the clothing from that drop continues to live on — as keepsakes of a season where sweetness became support, and indulgence became impact.
Warmth, Reimagined
For us, warmth is not just felt against the skin.
It’s felt through:
- Choice
- Collaboration
- Care
- And community
The Bake Sale Batch was our holiday love letter — to those who wear our clothes, to those who need support, and to the belief that fashion can be both beautiful and generous.
